Who I Am

My name is Sivakumar Mambakkam. Most people call me Siva.

I am a husband, father, technologist, architect, mentor, and lifelong student of systems. Professionally, I have spent more than 36 years helping organizations build technology capabilities that outlast their projects across financial services, healthcare, automotive, aerospace, retail, and software product industries.

Personally, I remain fascinated by learning. I enjoy exploring the intersections between technology, leadership, systems thinking, history, philosophy, and human progress.

Where I’m From

My family is native to Mambakkam. We were farmers there, and stayed farmers until a couple of generations back, when the family migrated to Madras and moved into engineering and other business ventures.

My visits there have always been a joy. My grandfather’s house once hosted Sri Chandrasekara Saraswathi, the Sankaracharya, during one of his many travels — I have heard he would visit the Ellaiamman temple on his walks from Kanchipuram to Kalavai. For spiritual reasons, we want our house and the temple around Mambakkam kept and maintained; keeping that heritage visible is part of why I built this village site.

What I Believe

Technology changes rapidly. Human challenges change slowly.

The same holds for AI. The model is abundant and the raw content a commodity; the scarce, valuable work is shaping it — setting the scope and the boundaries so it becomes an outcome you can trust.

People still seek understanding, purpose, clarity, capability, and progress. The best technology helps people achieve those goals.

Organizations rarely struggle because of a lack of technology. More often they struggle because complexity obscures understanding. When people understand clearly, progress becomes possible.

Four Generations of Computing

  1. Generation One 1989–1999

    Building Systems

    Learning software development, technical writing, training, and project leadership.

    End users, product owners, business managers — all speaking English, each with different words for the same thing. Learning to listen past the words to the actual problem was the education.

    Lesson Technology only matters when people can use it effectively.

  2. Generation Two 2000–2010

    Connecting Systems

    Enterprise integration, middleware, governance, and release engineering.

    I moved three products and their source out of a vendor's hands into ours — intense, time-bound, teaching a team to own code they hadn't written a line of.

    Lesson The value of a system depends on how effectively it connects with others.

  3. Generation Three 2011–2020

    Scaling Systems

    Identity federation, connected vehicles, cloud modernization, and platform engineering.

    A Raspberry Pi I'd wired up at home became the proof a car's doors and liftgate could open from the cloud — my way into the electronics already living inside the vehicle.

    Lesson Reusable capability creates more value than isolated project success.

  4. Generation Four 2021–Present

    Augmenting Human Capability

    Observability, telemetry, platform intelligence, and AI-enabled engineering.

    In 2026: three AI products under WeGoFwd2020, built with a governed AI-assisted delivery practice — standards in version control, every change ticketed and reviewed.

    Lesson Technology is abundant. Understanding remains scarce.

What I Work On

WeGoFwd2020

WeGoFwd2020 is an independent initiative I started to turn three decades of enterprise experience into working products and reusable capability — the proof, not the pitch, of everything above.

What I’m Building

Products under WeGoFwd2020. The first three put the shaping in the user’s hands, not the model’s; the fourth has no model in it at all:

  • Mentiblelive in production. An AI authoring tool: you set the scope and boundaries, it compiles a real EPUB3/PDF book. Web app, Android APK, and a read-only demo. Author Yourself.
  • Pramanain build, SOX-scoped. Compliance training that treats the audit trail as the product: a tamper-evident, hash-chained log written to database and immutable object storage — auditable proof, not just reports.
  • StudyBuddy OnDemand — grade-aware STEM learning for Grades 5–12: content generated ahead of time, delivered instantly, offline-capable. Live demo.
  • Atri Sangamalpha. A GPS/PNT integrity monitor for fixed sites: it cross-checks a GPS receiver against independent time references — network, cryptographic, radio, and the drift of the local clock — and raises an explainable alarm when they stop agreeing. Jamming and spoofing are cheap; a confident wrong answer is the dangerous one.

The first three are not separate builds. They share one content-generation engine — proven first in Mentible, then reused across the others. Atri Sangam is a different line of work entirely: no language model, no generation, just arithmetic on residuals that anyone can check.

Why These Names

Sanskrit or Tamil — the choice follows the topic. Whichever language fits what the thing actually does is the one that gets to name it.

Pramana is प्रमाण — proof, a valid means of knowledge. It imparts the knowledge an organization has to get right, governance and compliance, and then produces the evidence that it happened. The name is literal.

Thittam is திட்டம், Tamil for plan. It runs productions — film, construction, software, live events — from one codebase. The name carries the intent precisely.

Kathai Chithiram is கதை சித்திரம், picture from story. A therapist or a parent gives it a simple story; it returns an animated one the child can understand. Accessibility of software systems is a topic I keep returning to, and here I wanted the tools now available in the AI world to help people with different special needs take part in society.

What I’m Learning Now

Right now I am working through agentic AI — systems that plan and act on their own — and where it fits in generating content for very different audiences: children with special needs, students across grades, and professionals working through governance and compliance.

The systems I have built so far are deliberately not agentic. They are pipelines I control end to end, because when content reaches a child or an auditor, provenance matters more than autonomy. What I keep turning over: when is handing control to the agent worth it — and how would you govern an agent as rigorously as I govern a pipeline today?

Atri Sangam

A GPS/PNT integrity monitor for fixed sites. It cross-checks what a GPS receiver reports against independent time references and raises an explainable alarm when they stop agreeing — jamming, spoofing, or plain outage.
